Meet Kathi
Hi, I'm Kathi Nixon - a lifelong musician and retired high school drama and English teacher with 34 years of teaching experience in Johnston County. I've played piano and guitar for more than 50 years, served as church pianist and organist, recorded in Nashville, and performed with local bands on guitar and bass. I enjoy bluegrass, blues, jazz, rock, and more - and I love helping each student learn the music that excites them.
Acting and Audition Coaching
With 34 years of experience teaching theatre and more than 50 productions as a director, I help actors make confident, specific choices and prepare for auditions. Coaching may include monologues, scenes, character development, cold readings, and audition preparation. As an award-winning community theatre actor, I understand the process from both sides of the table.
